Project Description

The noble sea lemon (Peltodoris nobilis) is a large nudibranch that can be pale yellow to orange.  The many rounded bumps (tubercles) on the dorsal surface extend up beyond brown or black blotches, but this pigment does not cover the tubercles.  The blotches on this particular nudibranch are very faint.  The noble sea lemon can grow to around 10 inches (25 cm) in length, with a range from central Alaska to northern Mexico.
