Project Description

The structure of this lattice-work bryozoan (Phidolopora pacifica) is really quite amazing.  Colonies are very fragile and often have a peach colouration.  In well protected waters lacking current this species of bryozoan may appear white.  Lattice-work bryozoan colonies can grow to 8.5 inches (22cm) across, with a range that includes the Galapagos Islands, as well as northern Alaska to Peru.
