This hooded nudibranch (Melibe leonina) was settled in an eelgrass bed waiting to capture its next meal. Large gatherings of these nudibranchs can be found in eelgrass beds as well as kelp forests. The hooded nudibranch can grow to 7 inches (17.5 cm) long, with a range from central Alaska to northern Mexico.
