Steller Sea Lions on Vancouver Island, BC

This was the best dive adventure I’ve experienced, and it was awesome to be in the ocean with these incredible marine mammals.

Orange Sea Cucumber Feeding

It was great seeing an orange sea cucumber half-hidden and nestled in-between some rocks. This animal is interesting to watch as it gathers food.

Diving Madrona Point

Diving Madrona Point was a fantastic experience. The dive site is located in Nanoose Bay, just north of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and has an abundance of marine life. This short video highlights the animals encountered on my two dives at Madrona.

Mystery Tunicate

After photographing this tunicate, I couldn’t find a matching photo in my collection of marine life ID books. I started a conversation with Neil McDaniel who was very interested, and he contacted other Pacific Northwest marine life experts. Danny Kent of the Vancouver Aquarium confirmed the spheres within the tunicate siphon were fish eggs. So, I went on a few more dives and shared additional information in the form of this video with the marine life experts.

A Great Day of Diving

Harry McGregor and I went on dive 800 at McKenzie Bight near Victoria, BC. This was an awesome dive and the first time using the video feature of my underwater camera set-up. I am happy with the video and how it shows a realistic colour of the emerald waters around Victoria. Some cool critters were seen as well on the dive, which are included in this short clip.

Sechelt & Vancouver Dive Trip

It was great seeing Geoff again, and he has a cool underwater video set-up that he brought along for our dives on the Sunshine Coast. All of the underwater video near Sechelt was taken by Geoff. After diving with Geoff, I went back to Vancouver and met Rob at Whytecliff Park. It was good seeing Rob again as well, and we enjoyed some great diving. All of the underwater video footage and still images at Whytecliff Park were taken by Rob.
