During a dive near Campbell River this inquisitive female kelp greenling was very interested in my camera.  She was nibbling at the rope handle and gave it a shake, all the while being a great photo subject.

The female kelp greenling looks amazing with its bright golden spots and fins.  Kelp greenlings (Hexagrammos decagrammus) can grow to 24 inches (60 cm) in length, and have a range from northern Alaska to southern California.
